There are few things more satisfying than a great fitting pair of jeans. Since jeans are such a staple of a well-rounded wardrobe, it is certainly worth it to invest in a pair that will last you through the ages. That means finding a style that fits to your body, whatever shape it may be. A good pair of jeans will lift and tuck where needed, and lengthen and slim where desired. InStyle recently published a great little guide for the perfect jean fit. Whether you're curvy, tall, petite, plus size, or even preggers, they have some handy tips ready to help you in your quest for the perfect jeans. However one downside of all these jean guides is what if you are a mix of multiple categories? What if you are a fatty petite, or a pear shaped giant? Fret not dear readers. Those lame print fashion editors may be too scared to cater to the odd-shaped masses, but I'm not!

Shape #1: Curvy shorty

In most denim guides, petites are thought of as tiny horizontally and vertically, a la Avril Lavigne. However real women know this just isn't true! There are tons of shorties who are curvy as well. For these women, a dark denim will slim and a slightly flared bottom will balance curvy hips.

Shape #2: too leggy

We all want longer legs, but sometimes one can actually have too much of a good thing! For those with a shorter torso in proportion to their legs, long legs can actually be a disadvantage. Balance yourself out by wearing low-rise, boot-cut denim, which will put the focus on your great gams, while elongating your waist.

Shape #3: too much booty

As with having too-long legs, sometimes having a generously endowed ass is not always as great as it seems, especially if the rest of you is not in proportion! Minimize booty by wearing denim with straight-edged, or vertical-lined, back pockets that downplay curves. Also utilize low-rise denim and avoid smooth backed denim that will only emphasize, not minimize.
