I'd never really used Aveeno products before and I must say I am pleasantly surprised. This facial scrub by Aveeno promises a lot of things: to improve your skin's radiance and scrubbing deep into pores while being super gentle (i.e. it is soap-free, oil-free, hypoallergenic, and non-comedogenic). The unique thing about this scrub is that it contains soy extracts and micro-beads that are said to help exfoliate and moisturize your skin. Aveeno's research states that soybeans contain a rich mix of proteins, lipids, carbohydrates and vitamins that pack an antioxidant punch to aging. Aveeno's patented refinement process allows them to capture all these yummy properties of soybeans to better even skin tone, reduce wrinkles, and lock in moisture.
The price of this product is relatively standard at around $12 and comes in a large 140g tube, which is plenty to last if you only exfoliate a couple times a week. The scrub itself is of a slightly more watery texture than I was used to finding with scrubs, but you definitely get that great tingly feeling thanks to its high content of scrubbing microbeads. A penny-sized amount is enough to cover your face and it rinses easily and cleanly, unlike some scrubs which leave little granules behind. Post-wash, my skin felt clean, smooth, and without that parched tight feeling. As for radiance, I didn't notice my skin to be any more glowing than usual, but perhaps that is a gradual thing. Also, if you have oilier skin, this scrub may not be strong enough for you, however I would recommend it for Asians, since our skins are said to be sensitive and should not be using products containing soap or foaming agents.
Final Verdict: good quality, great microbead action, but only recommended for sensitive skin types.
